Fortnite Storm Surge

Fortnite Storm Surge is one of the most controversial topics in all of Fortnite.... This is mainly due to two occurences/factors: (1) storm surge only occurs in competitive matches where there are too many people in the match and (2) it can be game changing. Because of this, many professional players worry and often get affected by storm surge if they sillily neglect the surge. The idea of storm surge is to prevent players from not engaging in any fights. Without surge, people will just stay in their bases and never fight. Surge activiates when there are too many people in a certain storm zone. If the game is going to have surge in it, on-screen text will notify each player before it is active. If you are below the storm surge amount when storm surge is active you will be hit by a lightning storm that damages 25 hp, until the surge limit of deaths is met. Recently, Kreo, Bucke, Keys, and Slackes all teams up in a duos competition to get free storm surge. They simply shot twice at each other and disengaged. Overall, storm surge is a very controversial matter.

Aim Assist

Fortnite has recently removed the old aim assist settings from the game. If you do not know what aim assist is there are several forms of this. Aim assist is for controller players because unlike mouse and keyboard players they only have two plastic joysticks for their movement. Although, keyboard players have always been complaining about aim assist. There is no way controller players would be as successful with out the new aim settings. Unlike the old aim assist settings, the new aim assist does not use the L2 snap-on. Instead, the joystick effectively aims for them. The crosshair does follow the opponent. Some would argue this is even more powerful than the old aim assist. So now I ask you, should aim assist be nerfed??

The Grotto

The Grotto is the most popular mythic landing spot that is overpowered in competitive. There is separation from Public matches (for casual Fortnite players) and competitive loot pools (for professional or aspiring Fortnite players). For instance, Fortnite had been under major critizism for not separating items from competitive games and public games. There used to be no differentiation in weapons and items between public matches and competitive matches. And this made the Fortnite competitive community furious until Fortnite Chapter 2, where they actually took into account what is good weapons for each side of Fortnite. On the other hand, things are a little bit different with the mythic aitems and landing spots on the map. Now, there are five new mythic location on the Fortnite Map this season because of the theme and goal Epic Games has with the season. Now, The Grotto is by far the most unbalanced and broken landing spot. In the location, there is several heavy sniper and rifles available is special loot crates. The "Boss" that owns this place has a large group of Henchmen, and they possess a vault with the best heals and items of all the mythic locations. By the way, the Boss is arguably the most difficult to kill, but the high risk; high reward factor is something Epic Games is promoting a lot. Although, this location/landing-spot has posed several battles between the top players in their respective regions trying to fight for control of The Grotto. Overall, The Grotto is one of the best landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2. Thus, if you want to get wondrous loot then loot up at The Grotto.

Fortnite E-Sports Organizations and Teams

The topic of E-Sports is growing over the past couple of years with teams like 100 Thieves, Ghost Gaming, E11, FaZe, and many other established E-Sports teams reaching their funds to invest in growing Fortnite players. Over the past months their has been great news with Fortnite esports. After the official Fortnite World Cup there has been so many more teams investing in Fortnite. Players have been officially signed to play Fortnite professionally for certain teams. When a game consistently hosts Cash Cups and various money-based online public tournaments. This makes competing even funner than usual. Although, there is always drama surrounding the organizations and teams Fortnite players have contracts with. Some top players have left their old teams for better organizations, and others have declared free agency. Many believe this because of the tyranny of many esports organizations. Many have believed players have minimal rights, but it is all how you look at things. Many young players can be taken advantage of with no agent. This is why many professional gamers have their own business agent to help them succeed in their areer. The Fortnite professional competitive player, Liquid Chap, just declared free agency. Thus, he is no longer on Team Liquid. This is peculiar because Team Liquid is one of the biggest Fortnite teams. The only two bigger are 100 Thieves and FaZe Clan. These teams could be a perfect team for Chap. Also, Ghost Bizzle an established Fortnite player has just moved to FaZe Clan for more gaming oppurtunity. Thus, Fortnite has provided the gateway into many successful careers for many esports players around the world.

C.A.B.A.R. Soup

Breakout

I am reading the book "Breakout", by Kate Messner. This book is written from the point of view of a bunch of people from middle school, and one younger boy named Owen. Nora Tucker's dad is the local maximum security prison superintendent. Two inmates have escaped, and there is a manhunt, of 800 officers and volunteers looking for the escaped inmate. The inmates are extremely dangerous, so people in this small town, who don't lock their doors, are now locking and triple checking all locks. The people writing in this book are making written time capsules, so it is formatted in letters, and some people put in text messages, or conversations. I recommend this book to anyone who checks their closet before bed for monsters. Also, I recommend this book to people who like to get to know the characters in a book, and to those people out there who love mystery and comedic books. I hope you decide to read this book!

The mad wolf's Daughter

I read a book called "The Mad Wolf's Daughter" By, Diane Magras. In this book, it proves that some maidens aren't just to be protected. Drest can use a sword, and defend her and her friends. She is on a quest to save her brothers and dad. Her brother and Dad were captured by the Lord. Drest is told to hide, but she comes after her family, and finds a boy named Tig and a soldier named Emerick, little does she know, Emerick is not who she thinks he is! I recommend this book, to people who just sit down and read a 200 page book in an hour. Also, to people who like suspense! I hope you get to read The Mad Wolf's Daughter

Justice

I have recently read Justice, by Jeffrey Salane. In this book, character, M Freeman, is taken under the wings of people who she has known as an enemy almost her whole life. Fulbrights. She trains to be one of them, but is secretly plotting with her friends who are also being trained with these Fulbrights. Jeffery Salane's words are so descriptive, you may just feel like you are there, with M and her crew. I recommend this book to kids from ages 9-12. This book is so good, I could read it again and again.

El Deafo

I have recently read El Deafo, by Cece Bell. In this book, there is a character named Cece who is deaf. She has to carry a big hearing aid around her chest, in order to hear. Cece has trouble making good friend, either they boss Cece around, or they don't understand, how she is deaf. Finally, Cece meets a girl who is a year younger than her that is the perfect friend. She has to get used to people staring at her, in her mind Cece is a superhero, and can defeat all of the villains. I recommend this book, to anyone who has imagined, a different reality. I hope you read El Deafo!

Fortnite Game Meta (Strategy)

Just as the new Chapter 2 in Fortnite game dropped, there were many complex changes that affected the tactics players would be able to use in the next season. One of the most recognizable factors of meta in the next chapter of Fortnite is the flopper item/utility. Now, floppers are a healing item in xdw a dawddddawdwdarcq3wrcqrrqewrqcwerrqcwrqcwrcrcqwrFortnite that give the user 50 health points in only one second. This is extremely affective in the later stages of the match, when staying in storm. These items are capped at 4 per slot in your inventory, and have a counterpart called slurpfish that give 50 health and/or shield in total. Now, with at least one flopper you can sit in a ten-health tick storm [this is the number of health points - out of 100 - the players lose when in the storm. Then, after utilizing floppers to hang in the storm; thus, after the storm has passed them, they can begin trying to dangerously take high ground. They can do this because, the players on high ground are busy caring about the people in zone (out of the storm), they can be sneaked up upon. The players who use floppers are at a huge advantage because of the element of surprise. This is why floppers are the most useful item, and most effective way to win in Fortnite Chapter 2.

How to Get Better at Fortnite Competitive

The Arena play lists in Fornite Battle Royale is by far the best competitive play list. In fact, the Arena game mode is the only that gives you siphon besides cash cups, FNCS, and other cash-based tourneys. Now, I am here to write about tips and tricks that will help you get to Champions League/Division. The first objective in being consistent is your landing spot. The map is 40% larger than the old map and this means that you are more likely to have an uncontested loot spot. Although, make sure that it aligns with your loadout. If you want to get purple weapons, then you probably should land at a place with an upgrade station. So you can upgrade to weapons from blue (rare) to purple (epic). When you need to W-Key (play agressively), then you should find someone hat a lot of people land. But if you want to always play placement, you should find someplace that has good weapons, and no one really cares about. Now, the key to climbing in Arena without having to constantly get high kill games i to play placement. This is the most gaurenteed way to climb in Arena. When you play for placement points you are always sure to get it. These are just a tips and tricks on how to climb in Arena. See you in Champions League!

How to Not Be Annoying

Many people often say: Why is someone so annoying! And the person they are referring to is often upset afterwards with their slight loathsome of the person. But here is a overview on what makes people annoyed and how to not get them annoyed, at least, at you. People often are annoyed by the small repitition of useless acts, such as: (1) nose picking, (2) coughing or sneezing without covering, (3) purposefully ignoring them, (4) behaving and talking with attitude, and many more presumptuous and quite annoying actions will make anyone annoyed. But we cannot predict someone's pet peeve, instead we must just focus on central ideas which will propel us forward. Upon this foundation shall we build upon the actions that will not annoy "the average" human bean! Yes, I may be a giant monster. And yes, I refer to humans about beans, or beans to how humans act! How to decrease input lag??

The whole concept of gaming on a console is usually paired with a TV. Now, this comes with all its issues, which is why people buy a gaming monitor. But here are a few tips and tricks to decrease input lag in video gaming on a TV:
1. Turn on instant mode; most Televisions have a feature in where they have a mode specifically for gaming. But this compromises colour of the screen and how nice your game looks.
2.  Disable HDMI-CEC
3. Disable power saving options and modes
4. Use HDMI 1 output for the most response.
5. Do not use the speakers!! Input lag increases.

Fortnite and Competitive Loot Pool

Fornite has seen major criticism over loot pools (the guns used and legal) in competitive Arena playlist modes. Recently, it has been all mythic items and the heavy sniper guns and rocket launchers that have made headlines on Reddit. But over the past couple of years there have been pump shotguns and grenades which made similar headlines on Reddit. Now, do I think Epic Games Fortnite Inc. should address these changes? Yes and no! This is the answer itsJerian on YouTube said when answering the same exact question pertaining to Fortnite loot pools. We both agree, Epic wanted to make these items overpowered and (in essence; effectively ) "broken" so the spots they are available at, are more rare and contested. Introducing, as itsJerian stated, a high risk high reward: low risk low reward, motto within the Fortnite competitive scene. Although, this has sparked much controversy outside of Fortnite, to who claims which territory on the map. Many of the more well established duos have taken the mythic item spawn places as their main drop spot in competitive. While others have backed down, and tried something more uncontested since almost everyone tried to land at the special new locations. These locations are the most ideal locations on the map. Most of them have excellent rotation vehicles and (as mentioned prior) overpowered loot. This makes the competitive loot pool quite interesting which we have not seen in a while. 

Punching

The relaxation of punching. It helps me calm down, when I am angry. Some people pretend that the punching bag is the person that they are mad at. I just punch. And Punch. It is a great way to get your anger out, and to also get some exercise in! I suggest to you, that even if you don't have a punching bag, you should still just punch the air. It is actually quite fun.

Anger and Bitterness

Feelings of anger and bitterness are useless. They spoil the welfare and health of people and quite simply destroy people's life. Anyone and everyone who is thinking this anger and bitterness in their mind and speech must expulse it now. These negative emotions are useless, utterly useless. These are of no use. They will only hold you back, bringing you to a sub-standard of life. Now please, everyone listen, these useless, utterly useless, emotions of anger, bitterness, and hate do not help anyone. Everyone should be able to realize this is not beneficial for their health. It may be difficult to realize, although think of it like this: these emotions are not bneficial to your well-being and can only hurt you in the process. Now just try to change your mindset and actively evaluate situations to then make your decisions. All these feelings are just not helping anyone, so together we must think differently.

Fortnite

Fortnite has expanded the overall competitive section of their game. This is mainly due to the ever growing tournaments related to the game. After the Fortnite World Cup, all sorts of Fortnite tournaments have been set up by Epic Games. Several of these tournaments draw from substantial amounts of money from cash prizes. Some tournaments even have split up into different platforms and also just separating PC from every other platform in general. Many upcoming unknown players have been discovered through this wide array of tournaments. What makes most of them so good is not just their "cracked out" mechanics, but also their game sense. Often, the pro players who are consistently placing and ranking high in these tournaments know what game sense is. Not to mention, but they also have astonishing game sense. This is what makes them so great, because they know where next zone will land and stuff like this. They know where to position and if it is safe to rotate a certain way at a certain time. No one is perfect. Although, they give themselves an advantage when a zone is all the way across the map and they wait for other teams to rotate first, so they do not get killed by the teams which rotated before them.

Dilemmas and Diplomas

Let us understand as one, that there will be dilemmas, setbacks, and frustrations in life. Yet it i not always how to we run from this problem or how to we escape, but how to we make something positive out of this. It is not how to escape, it is how to use this as something positive. It is all right to accept failure with open arms, yet can we just use this as something positive. We should not think of something else, we should reflect on current events and spark positivity from there. Always have faith in your life and never give up, there is greatness in you. There is greatness in all of us! With positivity it is easier to let this ability shine through. It is not impossible to thrive with negativity, just many more miles to walk and many more oceans to voyage. So use positivity, use it today.

Fudge

What is the reason why people always love to take advantage of others' feelings to exercise social conformity. Except time and time again there is always the outlier, where no matter what place you go to, they try to take sure advantage. This place, fudge stores! Oh, and not only fudge stores because anywhere that sells fudge will use this shameless plug. Yes, by now the turning of the tables should be obvious. If you have not turned off your device (or paper, now that I'm actually...thinking) the answer is: WORLD FAMOUS... FUDGE! Yes I bet you've heard this one before. These store owners, either specializing in fudge making or just trying to make the extra moneys use this for several despicable (me) reasons. The first would be to attack one's social conformation tendencies. Essentially, attacking the human condition to feel part of the wolf pack. Also, often sellers of these fudges will act overly nice in hopes to boost their claims, driving at the sorrow and guilt in their customers. Well, a consumer thinks, if this sales person is being nice for no reason, they muuuust be truthful. I mean, how could their not be world famous now? This is when the sellers have you in their sights, they often position themselves in populated cities or on the highway, this gives an added effect of suspense on the customer. What happens in when a customer is visited their relatives on the highway, they will see WORLD FAMOUS and immediately pull over. Anyways, once they've blown half the cost of the car they resume their trip on the highway with an ounce of mediocre dirt. Now, the second, more common tourist FUDGE trap is to position your store in a famous city where innocence and naivety is abundant through tourists unfamiliar with the new Minecraft terrain. The store owners make the persons believe if they do now take part in this WORLD FAMOUS delicacy they will be left out and shunned. So let this be a warning, NEVER FALL INTO THIS TRAP...JUST DON'T!!!!!

The History of Tea

The history of tea can be traced as far back as the times of Shen Nung. This man was an ancient Chinese farmer who first discovered tea in the most surprising and unique of ways. It was a cool sunny afternoon in ancient China when Shen Nung was looking for herbs and spices among the wilderness. In the process, he poisoned himself, remarkably, seventy two times. As soon as he was about to die, he saw the outline of a weary leaf drifting toward him. It darted into his mouth. This leaf was the antidote to all the poisons, and he walked away unscathed. Later, historians believed this was the start of tea making. This was because, ancient Chinese tea was eaten in rice cake shaped bowls as a...yes, weird right, vegetable. Only later would it be converted to a tea drink when a substantial Chinese emperor was in his courtyard. This Chinese emperor was a great man. He was fairly hygienic for his era, for he was boiling his water before he drank. Thus, when a tea leaf floated into the pot without him knowing.... Once he saw the boiling was done, he drank the water slowly, yet he was surprised at how refreshing the water was...with such flavour! Now, this is how tea was introduced into a liquid remedy. Although, throughout ancient history and time as we know it, tea has been used as a natural form of healing.

Minecraft: Hacks for the "Oh No's"

You spawn into your survival world. You look left, then right, you move forward, then backwards. You look everywhere, but you don't see your survival chest! This chest can make or break this world, one of the most important things to have, so where is it. Maybe on the mountain, in the water? Face it, your chest isn't there. Go into settings, and click on creative. Don't worry, I know you probably don't want a creative world, but still trust me. You go into materials and grab the basics. You get a pickaxe, an axe, some food, apples, watermelon. Whatever you want! Just don't go crazy, don't get gold armor, you can earn that later. Go back to settings, and click on survival. Now, go build that house! The most important thing. Look at Jay Tea's blog for further help.

Iron Man

"I am Iron Man!" that is what Tony Stark said at a news briefing interview. In this funny action movie, audience will feel like they know the characters personally. It is full of suspense, and some may even say romance. Pepper Potts is Tony Stark's right hand man, or woman. Save that right hand man spot, for military soldier, Rhodey. He is Tony Stark's best friend, who is there for him throughout the whole movie. Even in the worst of times, expect Tony Stark to be funny and calm. Hope you watch Iron Man.

Religion

The purpose of religion, as it dates back to the beginning of time, is to control yourself. Though over the years people have used this as an excuse to criticize and hate one another. Rather, religion should be a way to control yourself and make better decisions based on your morals. Religion should allow us to have a firm foundation of philosophy, and give us a baseline to simple rules and how we deal with everyday occurences. It should be somethings we can always associate with, but also respecting others in their decisions pertaining such. Not everyone must be a certain religion, and not everyone must associate with one at all. We should all learn to be open to new ideas, open minded. Although, we must be skeptical when needed. We must be weary of others, yet carry the highest respects. Together, no matter what obligation or not one chooses, we should be...together!

Minecraft: Building a Shelter

The first thing you must do in Minecraft survival mode is build a home. No matter what situation or how many materials you have, if you do not have a shelter...YOU WILL DIE! You can respawn, but that simply explains to everyone why your a noob at minecraft. And nobody wants to be considered bad at the building game. This is why you must build a shelter. Often, the most reliable way to make a house in great hast is to dig into a mountain or hill. This allows you to preserve materials, and actually most of the times lose less materials than you make. Also, you will only have a small passage to your home. In essence, you will only need to build a craft table and a door. This simplicity can save all of your lives in minecraft. Not to mention, mountains near or made of dirt grass often have variety of animals nearby, for most farm-grade animals (sheep, cow, pig) feed off grass. All in all, this is how you should make your home in minecraft survival.

MRKN Av and LiquidChap

These two Fortnite players are by far the best duo in North America East region (NAE) and have proven to be a top tier duo in other regions as well. This is all due to both players complementing each other's skills, because Av and Chap's skill sets balance out and give each other things to work with. Av is more of a fragger (killer) and comes in with the clutch factor. Meanwhile, Chap makes level headed decisions and almost always guarantees the duo with placement points each game. Also, Chap has proven time and time again, he does have a clutch factor; therefore, it makes sense they had won the Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) Week 2 Finals.

Fortnite VOD Reviewing

The best way to get better at anything is to Video on Demand (VOD) review. Fortnite is no different to this rule. Some of the best VOD reviewers in the Fortnite competitive scene are Ballatw and ImSpeedyGonzalez. They are constantly reviewing and commentating intense games and metas (strategy) in order to dissect and analyze pro players and the substantial decisions they make; what they did right and wrong. Often, the viewer will come away with new knowledge. This is why I encourage people to get into analysis.

FNCS Fortnite: Console Issues

The Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) is not favoring any platform except PC. It is not just the major skill gap between PC and Console players, but also the difference in frame rate. When playing Fortnite, besides your in game mechanics, game sense, and overall confidence, the two main contributing factors pertain to what hardware you possess, specifically, frame rate and ping. Ping is the one that you cannot really change that drastically. Although frames per second (FPS) is very important in Fortnite to be able to play at the highest level, it is unheard of to have less than at least 160 FPS on average. Now, FNCS is split up into two prize pools, which have the same value. One for PC and one for Console and Mobile Fortnite Players which is more than well balanced. Now, to qualify for FNCS you must reach CHAMPIONS LEAGUE for Fortnite's Arena playlists. Except, Fortnite does not split Arena duos into separate games depending on what platform you play on. Thus, it is really hard for console players to get into Champions League in Arena. I would appreciate it if Fortnite would lower the point requirements.

In a place where academia is forbidden,
and scholastic behavior is quite foreboding.

This is a place where those who believed they were good for nothing, find a calling.
This is a place when, where, how, and why the world is an ever-growing place for knowledge and discover.
But would this all be possible, save a horde of street sweepers.

Captain Marvel- Don't Read if you haven't watched yet

The other day, I watched a movie called Captain Marvel. I thought it was a great movie and so did my mom. I loved it because the movie showed you how the Avengers got their name, and how Nick Fury lost his eye. I was always wondering how that guy lost his eye, and finally, I know. This is a sci-fi movie, but anyone will enjoy it. This movie is based in the 1990s, and makes you worried that aliens are on Earth, or C-53. This is a pretty awesome movie because the main character is a girl, who is really strong and powerful. She is the hero and in the end breaks away from the people who are controlling her, and becomes herself. I recommend this movie to anyone over 9 years of age because it has some scary parts, that younger kids may not like.

TogetherToday

The Coronavirus has affected many people.
But, that isn't all bad. Today, I went outside with my brother and dad and played soccer and ran. I probably wouldn't have done that if the coronavirus hasn't happened. I worked out really well, probably more than I normally do. Is the Coronavirus actually helping people? You may gasp at that thought, but it may be true. I wouldn't have got to play Minecraft with my brother and sister, or read one of my sisters book. So, if you ask me, the Coronavirus is giving us some opportunities. I'm not saying that the Coronavirus is good, but it is giving us time to hang out with our family.

Minecraft allows the minds of humans to bond with others in a virtual environment. For example, when I was playing with my siblings I had no idea what the goal of the game was. This lead to my youngest sibling and I to grief and harvest others in the same server. Basically, this minecraft experience turned us both into mercernaries. Minecraft worlds often spawn you with minimal resources so you must find new lands to acquire. The most effective way to build and sustain a house or shelter with maximum hast is to build the house into a mountain or hill. This takes up less resources and much more budget real estate. Not to mention it took less time so my team could grief and harvest fellow crafters.

Minecraft

Minecraft is an educational game. It is a open virtual space space where people can express their individual smarts and likewise creative ability. This is a place like no other. In this virtual world, that is different every time, you can choose to play survival or creative. The titles of each mode are self explanatory, though they may be misleading, for survival is you and/or other players working together to survive in a new place. Creative lets you have no limit to how many resources you have. You can do whatever you want, for free. Personally, I love playing survival because of how real it feels, for you actually need to think unlike creative where there is infinite everything. Overall, this game helps humans develop unique and essential skills.

Captain America: The First Soldier

Captain America was a great movie overall! Though, I would not recommend this for younger kids, or people who get scared easily. This is a great family movie, because people can learn a little about World War 2, because of the Nazis'.

This movie is for all types of people because this is an action, history, romance, futuristic and somewhat comedy movie. The action part was for when the whole building caught on fire, and Captain America was trapped inside with his friend Bucky. The romance was throughout the movie, from when they were talking about dancing, actually dancing, or whatnot. This was a History movie, because my family learned about Nazis' in World War 2. This was a futuristic movie, because we saw how Stark company wanted to make flying cars, and they did! Also, in the end Captain America had been asleep for 70 years! That's impossible! It is funny in weird ways, a soldier was making fun of a general because the general was a woman, and then she punched him! That was pretty funny, for me at least. And in the end, when he was about to jump on the plane, the general kissed him. And the chief turned to Captain America, and said "Well, I'm not going to kiss you!"

Culinary Traditions of Unicron

The unicorns have different subdivisions for the most skilled in a trade. For example, the unicorn council puts those with special abilities away from society to devote their lives in learning these trades. Sort of like how we have monks in our lands, except we do not force our people to go. Now, the name of unicorns, effectively; for lack of a betterment word, who are specialized in culinary creations go by the exquisite name: Unicrons. Yes, this is no misspelling of their origin word. Whether it seems likely or not that this is there name, there cannot be any change to this. I mean, we are outsiders with minimal rule ovr the laws they govern by. Keep in mind, our end goal is assimilation not dictation. Okay, so we must now take a step back into further learning construction session in order to understand the life of a unicron, as this is the most common and likely of all the rare trades and specialities that we will be "banished" into. See, if one of us is lucky enough to get banished it will be free assimilation. Often, the instructors feel grudge against the governing council and pay their rules no mind. Frankly, this does not make life in their temples any easier. We will continue this learning innovative lesson in the weeks to come, for this...oh this, is extremely important.

The Culinary Aspect

Unicorns, surprising as it may sound, have very refined skills in the culinary arts as we know it. They have located in an epicenter of food and art. This is mainly due to their congested population, which boads well for street vendors. That is where we come in, because it is our job to be the street vendors. This is the only way for the majority of us, myself included, to successfully assimilate with minimal skill. They are used to high-quality restauraunts, but with enough practice it is reasonable to assume we can master basic cooking and set up a street food vending cart.. This is just a small part of the culinary arts mastery that surrunds the ancient unicorn society..

Why Yummy, you ask!

Recently, my mother has bought some chocolates from a company called wei chocolates. The chocolate from there is sooooo good! My Mom bought the chocolate to meditate with. You can do chocolate meditation with almost any chocolate. If wei isn't in your budget, you can get dove chocolate, that works just as good, and is a whole lot cheaper. But, if wei is in your budget, you are in for a real treat. Wei chocolate has a ton of different flavors! Some are relaxing, like "Rich, Lucious" while others are sweet like "Peppermint" or "Cocoa Buttery." If you are willing to try "Naturally Deep" with shitake mushroom, your taste buds will explode from satisfaction.

If you actually want to do chocolate meditation, read on! 1.) Unwrap the chocolate and take a small piece out. If you are using wei, then just take it all out. But, if you are using a bar, one square should do. 2.) Stick the piece of chocolate on your tongue. If you are doing it with a friend or family member don't talk. Reminder: do it in a quiet area, and turn off the lights, Enjoy!

Entry #1

Monday was the first day of being quarantined not going out, and not being able to stay out past 8. I wonder what will happen to us. It has been so long, since I have talked to another human being outside of my family. It must have been 5 days since I have seen someone outside of my family. 5 Days! My family is going quite mad. We are not used to be in close quarters with each other except for more 48 hours. I writing this, not as a blog post that my mom has forced me to write, but as a note to the future, as a first hand account, for when everyone dies from the coronavirus. 

At least none of our neighbors have run out of food yet. I am certain that that would mean that they would attack us and steal all of our food. That reminds me, I should probably go for a walk today, so I might be able to run away from our neighbors when they try to attack for our food. That reminds me, I have some advice for you: go for the weak ones  avoid people who have been out of the country, or look sick. If you read this article and don't wash your hands, you will cause infection upon others.

Recession

Throughout the country, people have been stocking up on food, sanitation products, and protective gear - large-chain suppliers have been rapidly running out. These frantic buying practices have greater implications, however, beyond a shortage of paper towels: they are leading the U.S., and potentially the world, into the next recession. On a very concrete level, the buying purchases of most countries in the world have drastically shifted - protective gear is in massive demand, and our use of transportation and entertainment is shrinking rapidly.

Goldman Sachs, for one, predicts economic downturn until April, but that's only if our current self-quarantine is sustained for the next few weeks. With President Trump predicting that it'll take until summer for the pandemic to "wash over" the country, the economic future is unknown.

Subversive Distance Learning

The world has lost its collective mind.

Meanwhile, after official school lessons are complete, we are watching TED Talks on YouTube. I got the idea after reading Chris Anderson's Ted Talks: The Official TED Guide to Public Speaking, which I thoroughly enjoyed reading (listening via audiobook) and highly recommend.

On Monday, March 16, 2020 (Day 1), we watched Sir Ken Robinson's "Do Schools Kill Creativity?" I enjoyed the talk, but the kids thought it was so-so.

On Tuesday, March 17, 2020 (Day 2), we watched David Christian's "The History of our World in 18 minutes." Again, I enjoyed it, but the kids thought it was so-so.

But, right next to this video was bill wurtz's video "history of the entire world, i guess" that they loved. I thought it was funny, but it has a fair amount of profanity. You've been warned.

Unicorn Society

Unicorns are not one single unit of a mind. They are as different and unique as anything in general life. Although every unicorn can be found in a society, since they only live in one huge NYC esk city. Now, this may seem surprisingly but this city is protected by a safety barrier which blocks all foreign travelers from entering without permission from the official Unicorn governence committee. They rule by a merit system. Meritocracy is the value of workers through their skills and not their birth. Not to mention, they are also a democracy. In essence, they are almost exact carbon copy of our existing New York City. Besides this vague overview of their society they also have unique customs and cultures it is essential we know if we want to assimilate successfully. By far, the most subtle custom we all MUST take into account is: unicorns are very sensitive about their unihorn. May I be extremely clear and specific, if you look at it wrong THEY WILL HAVE YOUR HORN. As you can tell, they have not had any visitors for the course of their existence, thus they are a very aggressive tribe at times. I can only imagine what they would severe if their be not a horn. This be even more important if we want to successfully infiltrate them. More essential guides pertaining to unicorns will be published in the upcoming weeks.

The Benefits (and non-benefits) of being the Youngest

You probably think it is a stereotype that the youngest gets the most attention. Well, you are correct, the youngest does.

The youngest pretty much gets all of the attention for a while. When the youngest is born, the parents are gushing over the newborn baby, because the newborn baby is the cutest! But, it isn't just attention that the youngest gets. I find this pretty unfair, but it is true. The youngest hardly ever gets blamed. It's true, the parents always say that the older siblings should have known better.

However, being the youngest isn't always good. One reason is, older siblings think that they can just pick on you, because you are smaller and weaker. People are always bragging about your older siblings. It might make you worry that you won't be able to achieve what they have achieved. People will always be comparing you to your siblings and confusing your siblings for you. My mom sometimes calls me by my brother's name or my sister's name. You have to admit, that is pretty insulting. When you finally grow up a little, with a personality and an opinion, your siblings won't like that. They will go their separate ways, when they grow up.  Also, having no one to play with is a big downer. Your siblings have already grown up. They don't want to play with you.

That is why being the youngest is awesome, and sometimes not so awesome.

Martin Heidegger

Today in German class I finished my work on a project about the German philosopher Martin Heidegger. Here is an English summary of my findings:

1. Martin Heidegger was born in southern Germany, in a province called Baden-Wurttemburg, in 1889. 
2. As a student, he held a great proficiency for philosophy, as well as mathematics and environmental science, and originally wanted to work with the Catholic church. 
3. After his service in the army in the First World War, he returned to, university where he received his doctorate in philosophy, and published his first and most famous book, Sein und Zeit (Being and Time).
4. His thesis: the individual was inextricably related to time, and their environment. He pioneered the concept of Da-sein (being-there) and Geworfenheit (being-thrown-into-the-world). This was a vast departure from philosophy of the past, which dealt with the individual as an entity entirely separate from outside influence; Sein und Zeit was a total rejection of that idea. For this reason, Heidegger is considered the most important European philosopher of the 20th century.
5. In 1931, he met Hitler, and expressed political interest in Nazism. In 1933, he received rectorship at the University of Freiberg. After a year, feeling morally uncomfortable with the position, he resigned to be a professor, but nonetheless maintained Nazi ties.
6. After the Second World War, during the Nuremberg Trials, he was given a Lehrverbot (ban-on-teaching), which prevented him from resuming his position at the University of Freiberg.
7. In 1951, he was granted emiritus status, and taught regularly until 1968, when he retired.

How To Be A Unicorn

When analyzing such a trivial and controversial topic, we first must study unicorns as a society and not a species. In order to become one of them we must learn their ethics, customs, cultures, terrain, and many more aspects of what makes them so unique. Assimilation into their society is key for the future of humanity. Without proper migration skills, knowledge of the new civilization, and many more important techniques will have to be learned an utilized we will not be successful in this infiltration. This is just an overview of all things to study.
