"Lion Down" Info about cougars

In the novel “Lion Down” by Stuart Gibbs on page 38 the author compiled, “...cougars can be extremely stealthy. There are plenty of cases of them getting into people's yards and eating a pet without anyone hearing or seeing anything.” This conveys, cougars can be very dangerous animals if put into the right scenario. For example, since it is so stealthy it can sneak up on almost anything and kill it. This makes me wonder if there are any cougars in Hillsborough, New Jersey. I am sure there are not, but for states with them there it would be pretty freaky if your pet got eaten. Seriously, imagine one day you’re barbecuing and suddenly your pet has just vanished into thin air (well the point is the mountain lion ate the pet) which would be pretty alarming to most people. Plus, if a person doesn’t have any pets then one of their children could get eaten. Concluding, mountain lions (cougars) should not be tested...at all.

"Lion Down" Analysis Lincoln Stone's Persona

In the novel “Lion Down” by Stuart Gibbs on page 37 the author compiles, “‘Apparently he’s allergic to most dogs,’ Tommy said. ‘But he knew having a bichon didn't really fit with his image. So he pretended to have a retriever for the cameras.’” This shows, Lincoln Stone is not always what he seem. He was trying to fit his tough “Old School American” type character he plays on his radio shows by pretending he had a golden retriever instead of a French Bichon Frise. Coming to show, if he was lying about what kind of dog he had what else could he be lying about.

"Lion Down" Analysis Family Bonds

In the novel “Lion Down” by Stuart Gibbs on page 35 the author compiles, “i could see the brown, dusty patch where the Wilds was being built and close to that the trailer park where I lived with my parents.” This quote shows Teddy cannot ever be mentally separated from his family. This is because, no matter where he goes, what case he is on, or which friend he is with his family is always on his mind. Whether it is a text message from his mom or he is hanging from a rope above an open crocodile exhibit that has live crocodiles in it. This is an important driving factor that keeps up his perseverance.
