In the novel “Lion Down”
by Stuart Gibbs on page 38 the author compiled, “...cougars can be extremely
stealthy. There are plenty of cases of them getting into people's yards and
eating a pet without anyone hearing or seeing anything.” This conveys, cougars
can be very dangerous animals if put into the right scenario. For example,
since it is so stealthy it can sneak up on almost anything and kill it. This
makes me wonder if there are any cougars in Hillsborough, New Jersey. I am sure
there are not, but for states with them there it would be pretty freaky if your
pet got eaten. Seriously, imagine one day you’re barbecuing and suddenly your
pet has just vanished into thin air (well the point is the mountain lion ate
the pet) which would be pretty alarming to most people. Plus, if a person
doesn’t have any pets then one of their children could get eaten. Concluding,
mountain lions (cougars) should not be tested...at all.
